Starting Up the Sign

Connect the Display

Plug the HDMI cable into your display before connecting power to the Sign123 device.

Connect a standard HDMI cable between the Sign123 and your display.

The Sign123 Pro uses a micro HDMI port. Connect a micro HDMI to HDMI cable (or a standard HDMI cable with a micro HDMI adapter) between the Sign123 Pro and your display.

Network Connection

Ethernet

If you're using a wired connection, plug the ethernet cable into the Sign123 device.

WiFi

  1. Remove the micro SD card from the Sign123 device
  2. Insert it into a card reader and open it on a computer
  3. Open the file sign123.conf.txt
  4. Enter your WiFi network name (SSID) and passphrase in the fields provided
  5. Save the file, eject the SD card, and carefully insert it back into the Sign123 device

Power On

Connect the micro USB power adapter and turn on the power.

Connect the USB-C power adapter and turn on the power.

The first-time setup takes several minutes. When it's ready, the display will show a status page with:

  • The network connection status
  • The IP address of the sign (if connected)

Access the CMS

Open a web browser on any device connected to the same network and navigate to the IP address shown on the display. You should see the CMS login page.
