Known Issues

This page lists known issues that may affect some Sign123 deployments.

HEVC-encoded video not supported

Sign123 does not support HEVC (H.265)–encoded video files.

• Summary: HEVC (H.265)–encoded videos will fail to play or appear as black/blank when used as video content.
• Impact: Any content that relies on HEVC video files will not display correctly on Sign123 hardware players.
• Workaround: Re-encode the video using the H.264 codec (AVC) and use that version instead.
• Status: H.264 (AVC) is the recommended and supported codec for video content on Sign123 hardware.
